Etter hvert har det blitt et anselig premienivå innenfor sledehundsporten. Takket være rause sponsorer opplever årets kjørere et premiedryss uten like. Sammenlagt ligger det verdier for nærmere 600.000 kroner i premiepotten.

Over the years the value of the prizes in dog-sled racing have increased. Thanks to our generous sponsors the mushers compete for more prizes than ever. The value of all the prizes combined are around NOK 600.000.
There is no doubt that Saltdalshytta, with a value of approx. NOK 530.000 is the most desired prize in the race, even thought this is not given every year. The rules are that the combined winner of FL2010 and 2011 will get the cabin. The internal family-competition in the Haaland/Johannessen family is not our business, but with yesterday’s victory in mind, it will not be surprising if Inger Marie lets Ralph compete in the race again next year.
The mushers have many great prizes to look forward to. Polaris gives two ATVs, which means a Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. 4X4 registered with black plates, 2010 model worth close to NOK 80.000- which Ole Wingren was the winner of. Ralph Johannessen won a Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI EU-traktor (white plates) 2010 model worth close to NOK 90.000.
In addition there will be given moneyprizes to the top ten mushers in both classes:
