FL1000: Kirkenes comes alive

Det rører på seg i Kirkenesleiren nå på morgenkvisten. Ralph Johannessen dro ut allerede 08:50 med 13 tilsynelatende spreke hunder. Deretter dro Roger Dahl og Harald Tunheim ut en snau time etter.

Kirkenes checkpoint is coming alive as the mushers are preparing for the next leg. Ralph Johannessen left at 08:50 with 13 seemingly fit dogs. After him Roger Dahl and Harald Tunheim left about an hour later. Dahl has 11 dogs in his team while Tunheim only has nine dogs left in his team.

The mushers are getting ready to leave, and this leaves its mark on the checkpoint. Kjell Brennodden is now on the trail – after some starting problems. He had to, among other things, to change lead-dog and get some help to lure the dogs into a moving mode. Sigrid Ekran (picture above), Robert Sørlie (picture below) and Bjørnar Andersen are also preparing to leave. They are to take on 75 km back to the checkpoint in Neiden.
