Arne Karlstrøm was confused when one of the spectators informed him he was heading in the wrong direction.

The spectator was one following the race on internet and was concerned to see Karlstrøm’s GPS going the wrong way. Karlstrøm was called up and given the information, but Karlstrøm was never in doubt about where he was or where he was going. It turned out that since the mobile-net did not have signals along parts of the trail, the GPS position given for Arne Karlstrøm was wrong. Luckily Karlstrøm is an experienced musher, and did not let the information influence him. It is important to note that the GPS-positioning will not be updated as often in areas with poor mobile-net signals.
