According to unofficial sources from the trail, Petter Jahnsen is still ahead of the competition. He was spotted at 7:30 round about an hour from Skogfoss. No other mushers have been sighted so far. It will be another 35 km from Skogfoss to the checkpoint in Kirkenes. Therefore he should be in the checkpoint around noon. Frode Holten is still trailing one hour behind and has therefore not been able to catch up. But where are the other two that left the checkpoint so closely behind Holten?
