Ved en ren tilfdeldighet oppdaget vi at det var satt opp en helt særegen pris til første spann til Ringslett gård.

By coincidence we got to know that Ringslett farm gives a special price to the first team that passes the farm.

A hard-working Jan Ole Ravna lives at Ringslett farm 2 km north of Tana. For years he has watched the tracks of Finnmarksløpet pass below the hill close to the farm. He wanted to do something about that. He contacted musher Krister Höök from Tana to change the trail so that it passes through his farm close to the road. Finnmarksløpet had to get closer to the people.
So it was. The trail goes straight through Ravna's garden only few meters from themain road. Then Ravna decided to give a prize to the first musher who arrived at the farm. Ravna has the right to fish for salmon and therefore decided to give a 24-hour fishing licence in the Tana river.

Ravna put up a poster at the end of his property where he announced the prize to the lucky first person to arrive. The winner was Harald Tunheim, from Norway. With a 2 minute lead on Ralph Johannessen he won this great prize.
Tunheim was stopped by three journalists and took the time to accept and thank for the prize.

Tunheim immediately expressed that he is looking forward to use the special gift from Jan Ole Ravna.
