After Jostein Lindgren had to quit the race earlier today, his team continues onwards, but outside the competition. Handler Ole-Stigleif Johansen is now mushing the dogs.

As earlier announced Lindgren had to quit the race at Levajok after getting lungproblems. When the handlers got to know that he was well taken care of at the hospital in Kirkenes the y had to decide whether they should load the dogs onto th etruck and head home or continue the race now that they h ad started.

- The dogs were so fit that it was sad to quit now, says Gabrielle Johansen, Jostein's girlfiend and one of the two handlers of the team. - After talking to the FL-organizers we were able to continue the race outside of the competition. The team left Levajok at approx. 14:30 this afternoon – heading to Karasjok with handler Ole-Stigleif Johansen on the sled. Well done after the drama earlier today!

Right now we have no news about Lindgren's situation.
