- The trip has been nice so far and has gone better than expected, says Lanes. Lanes is a Rookie in this year's race and has impressed so far by being the first male musher in to Levajok. He received som prizes from the Tana municipality for being the first to arrive. - All dogs seem to be in great shape and it was not diffficult to keep the same speed as the teams in the 1000 km class. I am going to rest here for a while and hope that mu timing gives me great tracks when I head back out again, he continues. He looks forward to the next leg as it is a flat stretch.

Elisabeth Edland also got prizes for being the first female musher to Levajok in FL-500. - This was worth kicking for, she says smiling.
