Finnmarksløpet will also this year have medical teams following the race. Like last year we will have two teams, one for 500 km and one for 1000 km. The medical team will be at some checkpoints, but can also be reached by phone 24 hours.
There will be two on each team on both distances and they recommends all mushers and handlers to take down the phone number so that they easily can get in touch if they need to. The medical team is a first aid service and is primarily meant for the mushers.
On the 500 km team: Dr. Sebastian Drottning and Dr. Marius Johansen.
On the 1000 km team: Dr. Siri Fredheimhun and Sturla Heitmann.
The medical teams will carry yellow vests marked”Medical team”
