H.K.H Kronprinsesse Mette-Marit opens Finnmarksløpet

It is with great pleasure Alta kommune - Alta municipality and Finnmarksløpet announce that H.K.H Kronprinsesse Mette-Marit will conduct the official opening of Finnmarksløpet 2010.

Over the past years Finnmarksløpet has wanted to create a formal setting around the opening of the race. Lately the race has established a tradition of inviting celebrities to add to this setting. Princess Martha Louise, former mayor of Alta Kommune/Municipality Eva Nilsen, present mayor of Alta Geir Ove Bakken and mayor of Tana Frank Ingilæ, former Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs Helga Pedersen, as well as the former President of the Sami Parliament Aili Keskitalo have opened the race.

Important

Finnmarksløpet is very happy that H.K.H Kronprinsessen will be part of the official opening and start of Finnmarksløp, which marks the beginning of the race's 30 years anniversary. After the opening of the race, H.K.H Kronprinsessen will join one of the teams of the 1000 km race to the re-start area in Sorrisniva. - Her participation means a lot to Finnmarksløpet and Alta kommune - Alta minucipality, a pressrelease from Alta kommune states.
