1st prize for the victory of Finnmarksløpet 2010 and 2011 - best total result - is another cabin form the cabinfactory 'Saltdalshytta'. The value of the cabin is more than NOK 500 000. Trond Ørslien from Auggedalen won the first 'Saltdalshytta' for his performances in 2008 and 2009.

Collaborator with Finnmarksløpet through many years, Saltdalshytta, was so happy with the way they were presented that they want to continue the cooperation that they add another cabin to the prizes!

Professionalism. Jan Peter Pettersen in 'Saltdalshytta' says to www.finnmarkslopet.no that the increased media attention and the good presentation of the company are among the reasons why they want to give another cabin as a prize. - We have been in Alta during the race many times and we are impressed with the level of professionalism and the organization of the race as a whole. The values that Finnmarksløpet represents - activity outdoors, nature, competition and cooperation between animals and people are values that 'Saltdalshytta' wishes to be identified with.

Reason to go for it! The cabin that 'Saltdalshytta' gave Fnnmarksløpet in 2008-09 was of the type 'Rago' - one of the company's most popular models. This cabin went to Trond Ørslien from Auggedalen, the one in the 1000 km race with the best result overall in the 2008 and 2009 races put together. Ørslien is planning where to put the cabin, and said that this prize is an important reason to plan and participate in the race. It ended in success for Ørslien as he won the big prize!

New cabin. - Now that we are providing a new cabin to Finnmarksløpet for 2010 - 2011 we hope that it will help and attract as many mushers as possible to the race, and that it will create publicity and attention around our cabins, Jan Peter Pettersen adds.

The best. Director for Finnmarksløpet, Gro Anette Olaussen cheers for the great news and believes this will help draw the best mushers to Finnmarksløpet in the coming years. - We are working hard to get excellent prizes, and when the media shows such an interest we hope that it makes the mushers give Finnmarksløpet a high priority. It is important that Finnmarksløpet, which has been part of the development of long-distance racing in Europe, has the best racers - especially so that the media and the various collaborators wants to continue following the race and cooperate with us. In 2010 is our 30 years anniversary and by that we proove that the race will continue for many years to come, says Olaussen.
