Roger Dahl and Kjell Brennodden are still into the race, but Roger was the fastest into Varangerbotn.
It was only the lights of the flares that were positioned along the ice that could be seen. Roger Dahl turned of his headlight, so nobody could see him arrive on to the ice. Suddenly he arrived. At 23.15 Dahl was registered at the checkpoint aside of the Sjøsamisk Museum. Only half an hour later, at 23.46, Brennodden checked in. He used about eleven minutes more from Neiden II. Brennodden had a dog that must be dropped off to the helpers, en was therefore a few minutes out of the race. The dog he had on his sledge for almost the whole race.
Dahl doesn’t think that his dog team is not that faster than Brennodden’s.
- I think he might have rested a bit on the road, so he can just continue after the checkpoint.
