The last musher in the 8-dog class, Melanie Clegg, has arrived at the checkpoint at Jotka.
Both the musher and the dogs appeared to be in good shape and in a good mood when they arrived at Jotka at 02.23 p.m. Melanie explained that the dogs were tired because they are quite young, but that they are in good shape.
She has taken a break at Jotka, to give the dogs water and look after them. She believes she will stay at Jotka for an hour or two before continuing towards Alta. Clegg still has all eight dogs with her, and she does not plan to leave any of them at Jotka.
