Tore Bergby has started to realise that he is far behind the lead. He is racing with a young dog-team this year, so his goal is to give the dogs a good experience.

Tore Bergby arrived in Tana at 07.34 p.m yesterday. Due to his experience he knew that the dogs would be most tired after the long stage to Tana, so it was decided beforehand that the obligatory 16-hour rest would be taken there.  Bergby has a young dog-team this year, and except from two dogs they are all beginners. - The dogs run nicely for 4-5 hours, but then it starts to go slower, Bergby says. Now he has also started to give up hope on getting in the lead. - I want to give the dogs a good experience, and then we will come back stronger next year instead. Bergby left Tana at noon.
