Skjerve was the first to leave Levajok

While the rest of the dog-teams in the 500 km race were still resting, Skjerve is back in the sled again. It probably won't be long before he is followed by the next mushers.

Three dog-teams are in close succession, and will probably leave Levajok at short intervals. Taisto Torneus came first to the checkpoint, and is expected to leave Levajok soon, and Ronny Wingren is hardly expected to let the top placing go. After Levajok tactics will be important, and in order to stay on top the mushers will have to make the right decisions. The balance between rest and work for the dog-teams is especially important. Ronny Wingren arrived at Levajok earlier than Skjerve, but in return he let the dogs rest longer.
