Something not right?

Are you wondering why the musher you're cheering for is further behind in the track than you expected, according to the digital GPS map? This does not necessarily mean that your favourite has failed.

Technical problems with the GPS-transmitters can arise, or the signal could be weak at certain places along the track. This, however, is something the organisers are prepared for. They have a GPS-team that is going from checkpoint to checkpoint. This team is responsible for making the units operative again. As last year it is Pål Haugsnes and Bjørn Berntsen, also called "Team Hunk", who has this responsibility.
