Last year Finnmarksløpet got its own Medical team, and since it was such a great success, this year Finnmarksløpet will again have its own medical team following the race. There will be two different teams. One covering the 500 km and another on the 1000 km.
They can be reached at the different check points as well as over the phone, 24 hours a day. And will not be far away.
There is one contact person for each distance, and they recommend all mushers and handlers to write down the phone number, so that they can easily get in touch if necessary.
The medical team is a first aid service, and is mainly available for the mushers.
The medical team will be wearing yellow vests marked "Medical Team"

Øystein is a general physician, and is daily working in Alta.
1000 km: Anette Sievers-Dalby: tel: + 47 916 95 868. Anette is a medical nurse, and was also following the race in 2008 as a nurse.
