Mikael Jutila from Finland has given up the 1000 km race. He quit at the Neiden II check-point on the thursday morning. According to Paula Jutila Mikael Jutila's handler the dogs have been suffering from diarrhea.
Jutila has 20 years experience with sleddogs and was competing in the Finnmarksløpet for the third time this year. This was the first time he took part of the 1000 km race.
