Startnumber 73, Bernard Schuchert from Germany, gave up 1000-km race at 12.11 pm.
Schuchert has had problems with his best dogs. He has only the young dogs left. And he doesn't want to expose the dogs for the long journey to Kirkenes. But he said that he would be trying again next year. He is now on his his way back to Neiden.
