Checkpoint duty is mandatory for the students at the Sled dog driving and wilderness life studies. But students from the other studies are also welcome to participate. There are 22 volunteers from the school this year.

Students mean that it has been lot of fun. They are making sure that the wonderful experience is captured on the film.

-But ask again in couple of days, says Marie Letnes Hallheim and laughs. The work load gets heavier with less sleeping down the line.

At the beginning we work as a one team but will be split up to two teams on the monday evening. Then we will be working 8 hour shifts. Tasks on the check-point are among other things to check-in the dog sleds, help them to the restplace and make sure that water is available at all times.

- This is a fantastic experience for the students, says Svortevik.
