John Øyvind Selmer had to lower his ambitions for the race. His personal goal is now to manage to finish the race.
Selmer is the only musher in the race who is not running his own team and so far is he not pleased with his "rental team".
The trail is hard and the dogs did not cope too well with that. Last night he had to take two dogs out of his team and into the sledge. One of them was hurt with a stiffened paw. The other decided that it was time to go for a walk and simply could not be convinced to run anymore.
- I will have to leave at least one of the dogs in the checkpoint, is the comment of Selmer, who is not really happy with the situation.
