Sametinget is an important partner for Finnmarksløpet

On their way through Finnmark the mushers passes many of the samian main areas, as a natural result the race collaborate with Sametinget.

Hanne Rosenberg, who is the leader of Finnmarksløpet, says the race want to be a race for everybody in Finnmark. – we really want to make connections, Hanne says. Global partners are important, but you have to start them local. - We have been three cultures here in Finnmark for a long time. Now new cultures are comming, so its important with a common understanding, she continues.

The cultureprogram which runs parallel is a part of this. There is a lot of sami and other artists who perform during the race. – We are very proud of this, Hanne Rosenberg finish.
