Millennium Goals

Everyday throughout the Finnmarkrace The United Nation Association of Norway (UNA-Norway) will present one of the eight UN millennium goals. Norway has together with the other UN-Nations committed themselves on working towards reaching the millennium goals.

1. Distinguishing Extreme Poverty and Starvation
The first UN-millennium goal is to reduce the amount of people who earn less than one American dollar a day, with 50% within 2015. During the same time, the amount of people suffering of starvation should be reduced with the same 50%.
