Dariusz Morsztyn is the first musher in Finnmarksløpet who have address in Poland. He was on a holiday to Finnmark four years, this opened his eyes to dog sledge races.

The first time Dariusz came to Finnmark he visited Varangerbotn museum. There he was told about  Finnmarksløpet and that he should speak to Roger Dahl if he wanted more information. He wanted. He went to Alta and met with Roger.

In this way Dariusz was introduced to dog sledge races. Two years later he came back to follow the race as a journalist for a polish media.

- Long distance dog sledge races are not well known in Poland, Dariusz tells, but I think that the interest will only increase in Poland when they get more known with this fantastic sport.

Dariusz races with rather big dogs. He has some pure Siberian Huskys, but most of his dogs are a mix of Alaska Malamute and Siberian Huskys. He thinks they maybe are a little bit too heavy for this kind of race, but he hopes for success. He is very happy to be here, his goal is to accomplish without too many troubles.
