It is really impossible to take a special placement in the race now, says Tunheim. - The race is well balanced. Everything depends on how big the teams after me are. The bigger team the bigger the problem I will have. So I might lose the leadership, he says. - But the most important thing is to do the best with the dogteam you can. You can't do more, he concluded.

His greatest challenger is Ralph Johannessen who arrived with the full team in Kirkenes just one hour behind Tunheim. But when they will get out of the checkpoint they might get closer. Johannessen says that he's going to take out four or five dogs in Kirkenes. Now there are just the very best dog which can continue, he says.
