Edland proved to be the strongest competitor in a race that confronted her with lots of challenges. Different weather conditions like loose powder snow, mild weather, melting snow and puddles on the river ice, mist or strong winds. She had to cope with lots of difficult conditions and mastered them all.
The following times are Katy Meier who has a comfortable hold on second place and a tight fight for third between Mona Kolstad and Jan Øyvind Selmer, who were only a couple of minutes aprt after they had crossed the Jotka lake.
Edland however managed to do what Katy Meier had hinted before the race. - She has the fastest team, she will leave Alta and none of us will see her again before we come to the finish line. For us it is about fighting to be the best of the rest. And that is something Meier seems to be able to achieve.
