She didn't lost and didn't win time on Elisabeth Edland because she had to go with two dogs in the sled relative early. The extra weight was the reason of her slower speed. Now she will become faster but the distance to Elisabeth is to far to make up the leeway. Just if Elisabet and her dogs will take another stop. But a place under the first 3 is really possible.
The question is: how much head start does she have on the thirt placed Mona Kolstad. She comes from behind and could complete a female winner trio.
If you think it is an disadvantage for Katy to race just with five dogs, we can answer this question with NO. Five well trained dogs are as fast as seven dogs.
