Kolstad started 27 minutes after Meier, but she didn't take her most important leader-dog. She chose not to take him with her, because the weatherforecast tells about bad weather and storm. Kolstad did not want to risk to drive with this important dog. Also Ole Wingren started with just 6 dogs, which didn't look so bad.
There is no doubt, that the 500km race is going to be a hard fight. Not just for the victory, but also for the placements between 3 and 12. There are 10 teams leaving Karasjok in the time between 01.29 and 02.17 which is 48 minutes. That means, that nothing is decided yet.
