Tana gave a nice and warm welcome to the mushers who were there in time for the MarketDay. Fireworks, talentshow and bonfires in the streets kept the more than 500 spectators warm this evening.

This has been a great success, says Therese Nyberg who has helped arrange the spectacular MarketDay in Tana. a stage with music and speakers awaited the mushers when they arrived Tana Bru. Ralph Johannessen must have felt especially welcome as he arrived first at 19:47. A banner with "heia Ralph" could be seen along the track. Johannessen did not take his time on the way in. - I saw a light behind me and thought it was Tunheim, says the musher from Hardangervidda in the south of Norway. - No way he is going to beat me in to Tana Bru, I thought, and raced on only to be passed by a snowmobile driven by media-representatives. The fast ending was not at all for nothing. Local businesses handed him a gift of NOK 2000 for arriving first.
