Tonight at 8 o`clock Tore Olsen came in to Alta center. He used three days and fourteen hours on the 500 km long dog sled track.

On thursday, the first day of Tore Olsen's almost 4 day trip he arrived safely at Skoganvarre. On the second day he skied to Karasjok, and from Karasjok to Ravnastua on day three. When he came in today he had skied over 170 Km, from Ravnastua and in to Alta center.

When Olsen arrived tonight he was greeted by Hanne Rosenberg, the head of Finnmarksløpet. She presented him with a stuffed husky, the Finnmarksløpet book, a DVD, a musher patch, and a small crowd to greet him with smiles.

In a short interview afterwards he was asked:

-"Why did you do it?"   - I did it because I wanted to. When man wants to do something, he must do it soon, because he is not always sure if there will be an opportunity later.

Olsen says that the track to Jotka was very wet, but across the lakes by Jotka and down to Alta was smooth going. The trip had gone completly problem free. Now he looks forward to a shower, clean socks, and to drink a cup of coffee and ice cream.
