Brutal meeting with a tree

Some of the dogs of Dag Torulf Olsen from Hammerfest, who is racing in the 1000 km, experienced a hard crash with a tree on the way down to Levajok earlier today. This ended dramatically ending for one of his dogs.

As the team passed the tree, one of the dogs ended up on the wrong side of the tree compared to the rest of the dogs in the team and it got punched out. Olsen said that he had to use CPR on his dog, before putting it on the sled the rest of the way to the checkpoint. The episode was stressful for him and the other dogs. Most likely he will take out some of the dogs in Levajok where his dogs will be checked thoroughly by the vetenerians.
