The first to arrive at Levajok was as expected the leader of the 1000km race. Roger Dahl from Alta has claimed the lead by passing Arne Karlstrøm who had left Skoganvarre 40 minutes ahead of him. We have reports of other mushers getting close.

At the bridge about 3.6 km outside the checkpoint have unofficial sources spotted Kjell Brennodden, who would be number two into Levajok.

Roger Dahl is using a similar tactic as in 2005 when he won the race. His speed is fast, especially for the difficult weather conditions. It is known that Roger and his team perform well in this type of weather. Even though the path was wet and the sight limited, he still managed to finish this stage faster than in the 2005 race.

At 05:45 the third man arrived in Levajok. Ralph Johannesen is, just as usual, showing that he is going to fight for the victory.
