This year you can follow the favourites via GPS. Finnmarksløpet has positioned 10 GPS transmitters in their sleds. They are updated every 15 minutes.
Ten mushers with 500 km have got GPS transmitters. Check them here. The mushers are

You can also be with Lars Monsen who participates in 1000 km throughout the entire race.
The 500 km races will give these transmitters to the ones who participate in 1000 km after they are finished with their races.
On every transmitters you can see how cold it is for the drivers on the sleds.
