Harald Tunheim has been in the lead since Skoganvarre and has gradually increased the distance to his competitors. His dogs have looked very strong the whole way, but towards Varangerbotn even his dogs look like they are noticing the tempo. Harald Tunheim arrived Varangerbotn at 03.10 am after spending about seven hours from Neiden. The trail is marked with lit candles for the last half kilometer across the ice. It is beautiful and creates a nice atmosphere.
