All of you who have followed Finnmarksløpet for a few years know that the race's start and end, as well as the services for participants, assistants, media and of course the public moved to the city centre of Alta. Most of it is placed at the shop "Håndverkshuset" in Alta.

The administration of Finnmarksløpet is situated in a building where an "association" with more than 60 local participants produce and sell handicrafts. All of these are working together in Håndverkshuset, which is located at the end of the pedestrian street in the centre of Alta.

The Finnmarksløpet office can be found in a shop with a very special atmosphere. In these hectic days during the race, the skilled craft workers provide their whole house for all the enthusiasts of dog sledging, who frueqently visit this store.

The press centre and sekretariat of Finnmarksløpet and its public café have moved inside the shop, in between hundreds of colourful craft products, such a clothing, glass and pictures.

- It is a very positive experience for all of us. Yes, it is very enjoyable, said the head of the shop Line Henriksen. Both parts can benefit from this cooperation. We and Finnmarksløpet receive maximal attention. The big interest from people increases profit for both of us. - Finnmarksløpet is sold also with the help from us crafts workers.

According to Line Henriksen, people enjoy themselves in the Café. The members of Håndverkshuset provide in very good help - just as the volunteers, who works for Finnmarksløpet with all possible tasks. This partnership must continue next year, the leader said.
