This evening, in a wonderful winner ceremony in the city centre of Alta the participants in the 500 kilometer race/Norwegian Championship for 8-dog teams got their prizes and trofées. On top of the podium was Erle Frantzen from Ulnes in Valdres. In second place was Arne Liaklev from Randsverk, and in third place Nina Skramstad fra Hadeland.
Erle Frantzen received NOK 10 000, pluss NOK 5000, as well as a crystal vase from the Municipality of Alta, and a dog sleigh worth NOK 22 000 given by Saltdalshytta, and finally a wool vest for being the best female musher. Liaklev received NOK 12 000, 300 kilos dog food worth NOK 2400, plus a weekend from Rica Hotels worth NOK 2000, as well as a dog sleigh from Odd Kanstad for being the best rookie in the 550 kilometer race. Skramstad received NOK 7500 and a cell phone worth NOK 2500.
