Katy Meier born in Germany left the check point in Levajok in the Finnmark's inland as second. In that time her position was very close to the first dog team. She is in very good physical and mental conditions.

Today in the morning, she arrived in Levajok in about 6 o'clock. Afterwards she slept four hours and took good rest, said her assistent Michael Jeckel.

Katy did not sleep in the check point as all the other Mushers, but in the VW- family car. The VW fitted with a Mattress and a heating provided the right conditions to the dog race competitress to get all energie needed.

Katy Meier left Levajok with her dog sledge at about 1 o'colock in the afternoon. She had to set aside one of her dog from the sledge because of its gastric problem. All the other dogs are in perfect conditions.
