Two horses rouse the attention of some of the teams on a mountain between Jotka and Skoganvarre. Erle Frantzen, the first female musher arriving in Skoganvarre, liked this uncommon meeting.

- Luckily my dogs are used to horses, and so there were no difficulties. But Frantzen was concerned, that the horses could cause problems for the other teams. When dogs are not used to horses and they get nervous, can that cause trouble and agitation in the team, tells Frantzen.

Also Harald Tunheim met the horses. - My dogs were stimulated by them and they increased their tempo much for a while. Tunheim said, that this was his first meeting with horses on a sleddog-race. Tunheim was more distressed, that the dogs could frighten the horses. - Very quickly it could get cold for sweating horses.

Tunheim arrived first in Skoganvarre and decided to repose there for a few hours. Hans Petter Dalby decided to go on and to take a break later on another part of the race.
