Finnmarksløpet has a new staff member: Kari Bjørkli Thomassen (24) is responsible for press and public relations until 31 March. The last years have shown that work increases with every year and that the interest in Finnmarksløpet is steadily growing.
After a three and a half year long stay in Stockholm Kari Bjørkli Thomasson moved back to her hometown Alta. The young Norwegian studied linguistics and has gained experiences in the field of Tourism as well as in the Finnmark as also abroad.
- We got a tip that Kari is interested in gathering experiences and knowledge in press work / media relations and in the field of Organisation. As she moved back to Alta, she knew that the position was only anounced for a limited period of time, says head of Finnmarksløpet Hanne Rosenberg.
After the job interview and a couple of necessary arrangements Kari now is finally settled in the office of Finnmarksløpet.
- There are more than enough tasks for her here, adds Rosenberg. And Kari Bjørkli Thomassen is really looking forward to the work, that awaits her here in Alta.
- You are of course a bit proud of your homeland if you have been away for such a long time. Because of that I strongly believe that it will be really exciting, to support the Finnmarksløpet in his uniqueness, states the young woman from Alta.
