One of the most important things on Iditarod-boss Stan Hooley's agenda during his visit in Alta, was to spend time getting to know Finnmarksløpet and people who are involved in the race. This was in focus Thursday night during an informal meeting at Roger Dahl’s house. Among others, Stan met old friends like Harald Tunheim who has raced the Iditarod.

Host for the evening was Alta Sled Dog Club and the program was in correct "Musher-spirit" informal and cheerful. The goal for the evening was to get to know each other better and establish closer links, both personally between Stan Hooley and people in Finnmarksløpet, and between Finnmarksløpet and Iditarod.

Happy chief-trio: From left chairman for Finnmarksløpet AS, Nina Prebensen, Executive Manager
Hanne Rosenberg and leader of Alta Sled Dog Club Jan-Gunnar Vian.

Taking part in the gathering were members of the board in Alta Sled Dog Club, members of the sports committee in Finnmarksløpet, Finnmarkløpet's chairman, members of the board and its Executive Manager. In addition were Robert Sørlie and his wife present. Also one of the founders of Finnmarksløpet, Geir Landmark attended.
