Harald Tunheim remains first on the trail and his lead ahead of Roger Dahl increased to 25 minutes in Levajok. The stretch from Sirbma proved to be quite tiring and hard for the dogs and the mushers because of the slow trail and strong wind.

Harald Tunheim left Varangerbotn about one hour after Roger Dahl and had managed to catch up by 10 minutes very quickly. But at Sirma the difference was back to an hour, something Harald himself explained.

- I had a 20-25 minutes stop in the mountains to feed the dogs, he explains.

This was the basis for his decision to drop the rest in Sirma later on, something that could stress the competition a bit. Like Roger said: I needed the rest i Sirm, but it could have been a little longer. But when Harald came, that is the strange thing, ou want to get going as well.

The next musher expected in Levajok is Tore Bergby. He trails Roger by approximately another two hours.
