Freyr gets another chance

Lead dog Freyr, which Harald concidered taking out in Varangerbotn is still in the team. - Freyr is absolutely the best lead dog, and can become very important for Harald at the end of the race. Ho does not dare to take Freyr out before it is really necessary, says colleague Sveinung Ims.

- Freyr is a stayer and has got guts like no other dog in the team, there is simply no other that can replace him, Sveinung says.

However, it is no secret that the dog is tired. Freyr has wanted neither food nor drink lately. After the examination the vet in Varangerbotn concluded that the dog is dehydrated.

- Freyr is a sensitive dog, Harald said. But the most honest lead dog in the world. Right now he is struggling, he continued and placed him furthest back in the team before he left.
