Roger Dahl has taken charge again in the fight against Harald Tunheim. After resting for four hours, Roger left the checkpoint in Varangerbotn at 13:27 without Tunheim being able to folllow him directly as he had planned to do earlier today.

At the moment the veteran Roger Dahl has the edge in thisyears race. He is in first place and the others further back have to react to his choices and tactics.

No cuts in resting hours

Harald Tunheim said at his arrival that he was going to follow straight after Rogers departure, but did not follow up on this. Tunheim did not stress at all when Roger left and just got ready now to follow him. This means Harald decided not to cut his resting time, but instead continuously puts his money on being faster on the trail, just like he did during the whole race.

Tight race between the following mushers

More mushers have arrived at checkpoint. Bergby arrived third, followed by Kjell Brennodden, Are Baker, Petter Jahnsen, Ralph Johannesen, Eirik Nilsen, Hans Petter Dalby og May-Connie Johansen. It is less than two hours between the mushers.
