The Champions of FL-500 and FL-1000 gets a suite for one night at Scandic Alta. They will also get a nice dinner together with the director of Scandic Alta. The prizes are given by Scandic Alta.
The top three mushers in both classes receives a glass statuete. The prizes are given by Arctic Glasstudio.
The best rookie in FL-500 gets a sled from Oinakka.
SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge gives three Sapmi knives. Two of them goes to best foreign mushers, the last goes to the very last musher who crosses the finish line in FL-1200, red lantern award.
UIT/Norges Arktiske University, gives a prize to the best handler in 2016. The best handler gets a Luhkka from Fjällräven.
Axaeco give a prize with equipment for mushers to winners of the Best dog care awards in the 500 and the 1 000 class. The value of the prizes are aprox 19 000 NOK.
- The most unfortunately musher, gets a wooden grouse, made by Grete Somby.
- Best dog care award is given by the veterinarians to both classes. Becides prize cash, the winner of BDC in the 1000 class receive a trophy and a painting made by Roland Pantze. The trophy and the painting are sponsored by Alta Strand Camping.
